Jenny "New Mommy" Ferguson has inspired me to document my life in a blog. I have always in some way tried to copy my life after hers-she lives a beautiful one! So here goes...
LAKE HIGHLAND PREP
Leaving Auburn was both exciting and scary as I headed down to Orlando, Florida to begin my life. After working as an intern with the City of Orlando and a terrible, low paying job (with a popular non-profit which shall remain nameless), I received a wonderful opportunity; with Lake Highland Preparatory School. At LHPS, I teach lower school P.E.-grades 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 2 classes of 6th. In addition to teaching, I also coach the JV Girls' Soccer Team, the Middle School Girls' Soccer Team, and I am the assistant for Varsity Track. It is such a blessing to get to spend everyday with these amazing children. What a great feeling to know that you have found the profession in which you were meant.
BRIAN ROBERT STAMPER
Well, after many tears and broken hearts, I feel I have finally found that person who truely fills up my heart. We went on our first date in 2002, he was still in High School and I was visiting my Aunt and uncle for Spring Break. In an effort to get me out of the house, they asked him to take me out. We both liked each other but decided it was best to eac go our separate ways in the South Eastern Conference. I headed back to Auburn as he prepared for his first year at Vanderbilt.
Brian and I would constantly run into each other as the years passed. There was even an unfortunate and awkward moment at his parent's beach house one 4th of July in which he and his girlfriend at the time totally ignored me. Oh well, I know it was her not him. To make a long story short, we saw each other after he was released from the New Orleans Saints and have been together since.
GRADUATE SCHOOL
This is my second semester of Grad School at Rollins College. At this rate, with one class a semester, I should be done in 30 years ha ha! One class, once each week is all I can handle at the moment with a full time job. Classes have been very challenging but I leave each week with a new feeling of accomplishment as I quickly prepare for the next week ahead. I am set to receive my MAT (Master of Art in Teaching) in 3 years.
